I am in my first semester of Biological Sciences at Heidelberg University, and I’m excited to learn more about how life works on all levels. What I value most about Upstream is the sense of community and the chance to connect with other women in science. I enjoy helping to create an environment where we can learn from each other, share our experiences, and grow together.

I hold a Professional Master’s in Machine Learning Engineer degree and I have worked at the intersection of leadership, technology and product building, with a strong interest in how digital tools and AI can create meaningful, real-world impact. I’m motivated by curiosity, innovation for a better world, and the belief that knowledge grows stronger when it’s shared. At Upstream, I want to help build welcoming spaces where women can connect, exchange ideas, and feel empowered to design their own paths in science and technology.
Together at Upstream
As part of the Upstream team, we care about creating a community where women in science feel welcome, supported, and encouraged to follow their interests. What motivates us is the idea that scientific journeys don’t have to be taken alone. When people share their experiences, their questions, and even their uncertainties, something meaningful happens: connections form, new ideas emerge, and confidence grows.
For us, Upstream represents a space where curiosity is taken seriously and where different backgrounds, perspectives, and stories can come together. We enjoy helping to shape an environment that invites women to explore their paths in science, discover new possibilities, and build networks that can support them far beyond a single event or semester.
By organizing Upstream, we hope to contribute to a culture where collaboration feels natural and where women are encouraged to take up space in science — to speak, to ask, to experiment, and to grow. We believe that science becomes stronger when more voices are heard, and we’re excited to help create a place that makes those voices visible.
