The Platform for Mathematicians of Life

The "Mathematics of Life" Special Interest Group aims at fostering the collaborations between mathematicians and life scientists, as well as encouraging students with mathematical background to discover the beauty and complexity of Mathematical Biology. This shall be done through various kinds of events, such as:

  • Mathematical Biology talks by invited speakers
  • Networking events for PhD students from the two fields
  • Events for Bachelor and Master students

We consider that both Mathematics and Biology can benefit from each other and we wish to create a platform where PhD students from both fields can get to know each other and thus develop a network of "mathematicians of life".
